The "design for all" trend is erasing the boundaries between sanitary spaces dedicated to people with reduced mobility (PRM) and a person in the street's bathroom.

Senior citizens, disabled people or those that are temporarily incapacitated, they all aspire to remain independent, particularly in terms of hygiene care.

When dedicated to people with reduced mobility, accessories and sanitary equipment are primarily designed to compensate for visual or cognitive impairments. Their design features are established by occupational therapists to ensure safety and hygiene.

In recent years manufacturers have placed a greater importance on design. Increasingly stylish and imaginative, improved aesthetics erase the medical and sometimes stigmatising aspect of accessible bathrooms.

Showers, taps, washbasins, furniture, shower seats and grab bars... the new generation of products for people with reduced mobility blends in more and more with the general offering. Presented in showrooms, they appeal to both private individuals and those with buildings open to the public who have become more attentive to comfort and well-being, and more sensible to the fluidity of shapes and the choice of materials.

Creating beautiful designs has long been a priority at DELABIE. The latest example is the Be-Line® range of grab bars and lift-up shower seats.
Designed to adapt to every stage of life, and to provide safety and comfort, these accessories - through their aesthetics - also contribute to making the shared use of sanitary washrooms pleasant for all.

Easy to clean, the powder-coated aluminium grab bars have a flat, ergonomic face which prevents rotation.
The T-shaped shower grab bar was also awarded the 2018 Trophées du Négoce Award in the Accessibility Products category for its functionality and attractive design.

When lowered, the folding shower seat offers a seat with comfortable dimensions, while its clean lines make it discreet, allowing it to blend into its environment when raised.
One simple movement allows it to be removed and replaced by a shower shelf - practical for those places where a swift change-over is required, for example in a hotel or hospital!

Available in two finishes (powder-coated matt white or metallised anthracite), the Be-Line® range guarantees a good visual contrast between the accessories and the walls, while matching all styles of bathrooms.
